Floyd, White Sox silence Royals

Adam Dunn homered and Gordon Beckham also knocked in a run for the White Sox, who have won three in a row.
Floyd (3-3) scattered five hits and walked two while fanning five over 7 2/3 innings.
"He executed pitches. He was spotting his fastball to both sides of the plate, keeping it down and he had a good slider," Royals manager Ned Yost said about Floyd.
Jarrod Dyson picked up a pair of hits for the Royals, who had taken two of three from Boston.
Felipe Paulino (1-1) was charged in defeat for seven hits and four runs despite six strikeouts in 5 2/3 frames.
Floyd was pulled after the Royals loaded the bases in the eighth with one out thanks to singles by Alcides Escobar, Humberto Quintero and Alex Gordon. The righty recovered to send down Billy Butler on strikes, but Matt Thornton was called upon and fanned Eric Hosmer swinging to keep the visitors off the board.
Hector Santiago retired the side in order in the ninth to preserve the shutout.
Dunn's two-out, first-inning blast put the Sox on the board. In the third, Beckham singled home Alejandro De Aza, who singled with two down and stole second.
"I'm having one of those starts to a season that I expect to," said Dunn, who has team-highs of 11 home runs and 26 RBI this season.
Beckham doubled to begin the sixth, Dunn walked and Rios plated both with his two-out triple for a 4-0 game.
Eduardo Escobar walked in the seventh, swiped second and came around on De Aza's base hit.
