Jul 11, 2013 - 12:13 AM Miami, FL (Sports Network) - Placido Polanco went 3-for-5 with three RBI and Jacob Turner spun seven strong innings to lead the Miami Marlins to a 6-2 win over the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday.Turner (3-1) allowed two runs on four hits and three walks while fanning five to earn the win.
Giancarlo Stanton had a two-run double and Jeff Mathis drove in a run for the Marlins, who snapped a five-game losing streak.
"It's good, especially going into an off day," Stanton said of Miami snapping its five-game skid. "You don't want to go six in a row into your day off and then you're wondering and all that stuff on that day."

After Marcell Ozuna struck out, Polanco doubled to left field to push Stanton across. Mathis capped the inning with a bloop single to right to plate Polanco.
"Obviously in the first inning I wasn't in rhythm," Maholm admitted. "The first inning was what it was. I was fighting it and they capitalized."
Atlanta answered back with a run in the second inning. Johnson doubled then scored on Uggla's two-bagger to right field.
The Braves pushed a run across in the sixth to make it 4-2. Freddie Freeman doubled, moved to third on a wild pitch then scored on Johnson's ground out to first base.
The Marlins added a pair of insurance runs in the eighth inning. With the bases loaded and two outs, Polanco smacked a single to center field to score Juan Pierre and Lucas.
