Cardinals, Cubs finale postponed due to Hancock's death

Apr 29, 2007 - 4:09 PM ST. LOUIS (Ticker) -- The finale of the weekend series between the St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs was postponed on Sunday following the death of pitcher Josh Hancock.

A member of the Cardinals' World Series-winning team last year, the righthanded Hancock was killed in an early-morning auto accident.

No date has been given for the makeup.

St. Louis, which dropped the first two games of the series following an 8-1 loss on Saturday, will travel to Milwaukee for a three-game series on Monday.

The Cubs will continue a six-game road trip at Pittsburgh on Monday.
