Hill looks to rebound from poor start
Sep 27, 2006 - 4:12 PM Milwaukee (73-84) at Chicago Cubs (64-94) 8:05 pm EDTCHICAGO (Ticker) -- Chicago Cubs starter Rich Hill had been on a roll until his last start.
Hill tries to rebound from a shaky outing when he takes the mound for the Cubs in the finale of a two-game series against the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday.
The lefthander (6-7, 4.29) was roughed up in his last start against the Cincinnati Reds on Friday, giving up four runs in five innings of a 4-2 defeat.
Prior to that outing, Hill had been sharp in his last five starts, going 3-0 with an 0.97 ERA.
The Brewers counter with Dave Bush (12-11, 4.54), who is 3-1 with a 3.58 ERA in four September starts.
Henry Blanco had four RBI while Jacque Jones and John Mabry each drove in three runs to lead the Cubs to a 14-6 triumph over the Brewers on Tuesday.
