Indians look for second win in temporary home

MILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- The Cleveland Indians had no trouble making themselves at home in their first game at Miller Park.

The Indians will go for two straight wins in their temporary home when they face the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim on Wednesday.

Kelly Shoppach and Casey Blake hit their first homers of the season and Andy Marte drove in three runs in the Indians' 7-6 win in the series opener on Tuesday.

After having an entire four-game series against Seattle snowed out and with 10 inches of snow still on the ground at Jacobs Field, Major League Baseball decided to move Cleveland's series with the Angels to a stadium with a retractable roof.

The Indians will send Jake Westbrook (0-0, 12.60 ERA) to the mound. The 29-year-old righthander got roughed up in his first start on April 4, surrendering seven runs and seven hits in five innings against the Chicago White Sox. He did not get a decision in Cleveland's 8-7 win.

Westbrook has a 2-4 record with a 3.27 ERA against Anaheim, but recorded a shutout against the Angels on August 9.

Anaheim counters with Joe Saunders (0-0, 4.76). The 25-year-old lefthander earned a spot in the rotation because of the absence of Bartolo Colon and Jered Weaver due to injury.

Saunders did not factor in the decision in his first start when he allowed three runs and nine hits in 5 2/3 innings against Oakland last Thursday.
