Marlins look for continued success in Atlanta

Apr 14, 2007 - 2:36 PM Florida (6-4) at Atlanta (7-3), 7:05 pm EDT

ATLANTA (Ticker) -- The Florida Marlins go after rare back-to-back wins at Turner Field when they visit the Atlanta Braves on Saturday.

The Marlins, who topped the Braves 11-4 on Friday, have not won two consecutive games in a series at Atlanta since September of 2002. Florida is just 7-22 here since 2004.

Scott Olsen (2-0, 4.35 ERA) will get the start for the Marlins. The lefthander has not allowed a home run this season, but has nine walks over 10 1/3 innings. Olson started two games at Turner Field last season, going 1-1 with a 6.75 ERA.

Atlanta looks to Kyle Davies (0-0, 2.70) to end its two game slide. In his season debut Sunday, Davies allowed back-to-back homers to the Mets in the second inning, but nothing else. Davies pitched 6 2/3 innings and struck out eight but did not get a decision in Atlanta's 3-2 victory.

Chipper Jones, who had a home run in Friday's game, is batting .294 with 28 homers and 116 RBI in 168 games against Florida.

Florida's Miguel Cabrera, who turns 24 on Wednesday, is tied with former Marlin Derek Lee for third place on the team's all-time RBI list at 417. Mike Lowell tops the list with 578.
