Twins RHP Bonser looks for first win

ST. PETERSBURG, Florida (Ticker) -- Boof Bonser is looking to pick up his first win of the season against a team that the Minnesota Twins have dominated recently.

Bonser (0-1, 5.26 ERA) takes the hill for the Twins in the middle game of a three-game series with the Tampa Bay Devils on Wednesday.

The burly righthander is hoping Minnesota can beat the Devil Rays for the 18th time in the last 21 meetings.

In his last start, Bonser struggled with his command as he walked seven in five innings but did not allow a run in five innings and received a no-decision against Kansas City last Thursday.

The Devil Rays, who have lost four of their last six, need Jae Seo (1-2, 9.51) to have a strong performance. Monday's starter Edwin Jackson lasted just 1 1/3 innings and Tampa Bay used six relievers to get through the game.

Seo would like to go deep into the game so that he can put a poor start behind him. Like Jackson, Seo lasted just 1 1/3 innings and gave up six runs and seven hits in an 11-3 loss to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
