Braves try to get back on winning track against Dodgers

ATLANTA (Ticker) -- In the Atlanta Braves' recent history, consistency has been their calling card.

The Braves look to recover from a loss against the Los Angeles Dodgers when the teams meet on Sunday in the final game of a three-game set at Turner Field.

Atlanta, which is looking to get back to the playoffs after having its streak of 14 straight division titles end last year, has lost only one series this season - dropping two of three to Florida late last month. The Braves have not lost consecutive games since April 12-13 to Washington and Florida, respectively.

Kyle Davies (0-1, 6.75 ERA), who will be seeking his first victory in five tries, starts for the Braves. The righthander appears to be much more comfortable at home, where his ERA is a manageable 4.50 in his two home starts whereas his road ERA is 10.13 in two outings.

He did not get a decision in a 9-7, 11-inning loss to Colorado last Sunday. This will be his first start against the Dodgers.

After winning three straight starts, Randy Wolf (3-3, 5.05) will try to avoid losing his third contest in a row. He has given up 11 runs and 16 hits over 11 2/3 innings in his last two outings.

He had has worst start of the year in a 9-1 loss to Arizona on Monday when he yielded season highs of six runs and 10 hits in just 5 2/3 innings.

The lefthander did not earn a decision in either of his two starts against Atlanta last season, and is just 4-9 with a 4.83 ERA in 21 career appearances - including 19 starts - against the Braves.
