Dodgers look to extend winning streak vs. Marlins

MIAMI (Ticker) -- For one reason or another, the Los Angeles Dodgers feel at home in Florida.

Mark Hendrickson takes the mound for the Dodgers against the Florida Marlins on Tuesday in the second game of a four-game series.

Hendrickson (2-0, 1.30 ERA) aims to send the Dodgers to their fifth straight win at Florida. Los Angeles has lost four of five but has not been beaten in Florida since August 2005.

The lefthander was outstanding in his last start, allowing just three hits in six scoreless innings, while striking out seven to pick up a 2-1 win over Arizona on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Marlins starter Wes Obermueller (1-1, 3.07) takes the hill in place of the recently demoted Anibal Sanchez. Sanchez was sent down to Class AAA Albuquerque because of his lack of command.

In his only career start vs. Los Angeles, Obermueller allowed five runs in 2 2/3 innings with the Milwaukee Brewers in 2005.

Former Marlin Brad Penny stuck it to his old team in the series opener by striking out a career-high 14 and hitting a two-run single in a 6-1 win on Monday.

Florida is 1-3 on its current seven-game homestand.
