Fogg looks to continue success against Diamondbacks

DENVER (Ticker) -- Josh Fogg of the Colorado Rockies looks to keep his undefeated record against the Arizona Diamondbacks intact on Thursday.

Though he's struggled this season, Fogg (1-4, 5.53 ERA) has never lost to Arizona, going 5-0 with a 4.38 ERA in nine career starts. The righthander has faced the Diamondbacks once already this season but did not get a decision after allowing three runs and five hits in five innings.

Arizona's Livan Hernandez (3-2, 4.41) will be making his third start against the Rockies this season. Though he did not get a decision in either start, the righthander pitched well, allowing four earned runs in 13 innings.

Hernandez may want to pitch carefully to Brad Hawpe, who had his first career two-homer game in Wednesday's 5-3 win for the Rockies. The right fielder had just one home run in his first 37 games.

However, it's Todd Helton who has the proven track record against Hernandez. The slugger is batting .500 (28-for-56) with two home runs and 16 RBI against the Cuban righthander.

Eric Byrnes has a 10-game hitting steak for the Diamondbacks, who have split eight meetings with Colorado this season.
