MINNEAPOLIS (Ticker) - Boof Bonser is out to prove he has something more than just an unusual name.

Bonser and the Minnesota Twins meet the Chicago White Sox in the middle game of a three-game series Tuesday. Bonser (3-1, 3.88 ERA), who allowed 15 earned runs in his first five starts in April, has yielded just nine since on his way to a 3-0 record and a 2.70 ERA in his five May outings. He is eighth in the American League with 62 strikeouts.

The 25-year-old righthander tossed seven frames on May 8 against the White Sox - his only lifetime appearance against the them. He yielded four runs - one earned - and eight hits with seven strikeouts but did not factor into the decision in the Twins' 7-4 victory.

Bonser allowed two runs and six hits with six strikeouts on Wednesday against Texas, notching his third straight win.

Rookie John Danks (3-4, 3.78), who has won three straight starts, will take the mound for the White Sox, who have lost two straight and three of four. He has lasted at six innings in each of his five starts.

The 22-year-old lefthander surrendered three runs - one earned - and seven hits in a 10-4 win over Oakland last Tuesday. He picked up the loss against Minnesota in his first start for the White Sox this season, allowing three runs with six strikeouts.
