LHP Willis takes the ball for Marlins
Jun 3, 2007 - 1:07 PM Florida (27-29) at Milwaukee (31-25) 2:05 pm EDTMILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- Dontrelle Willis and the Florida Marlins meet the Milwaukee Brewers in the finale of their four-game series on Sunday.
Willis (7-3, 4.83 ERA) looks to win his third straight decision after limiting the Chicago Cubs to four runs and seven hits in seven innings for a 9-4 victory Tuesday.
The lefthander enters with an impressive 5-1 showing on the road this season and has won both of his career matchups at Miller Park. Willis is 3-1 in the series all-time.
Hanley Ramirez hit a run-scoring single and Josh Willingham delivered a two-run homer in the eighth inning to help lift Florida to a 5-2 victory on Saturday.
Milwaukee will counter with Ben Sheets (5-3, 3.82) on the hill. Sheets has won three of his last four starts following Tuesday's 5-4 victory over Atlanta, when he allowed three runs and season-worst 11 hits.
The righthander is a lackluster 2-4 over eight career outings when facing Florida. However, Sheets has posted a 3-1 record here through six home starts.
