Blue Jays try to take three of four from White Sox

TORONTO (Ticker) -- The Toronto Blue Jays turn to Shaun Marcum on Sunday to help them try to take three out of four vs. the Chicago White Sox.

Marcum will try to continue his outstanding work as a starter at Rogers Centre as the Blue Jays look to win their second straight series.

Marcum (2-2, 3.70), who took over for the injured Victor Zambrano on May 10, is 1-0 with a 2.16 ERA in four starts but has never faced Chicago. He has yielded no runs, two hits and six walks in 12 innings while facing the Tampa Bay Devil Rays and the New York Yankees. However, the righthander, who struck out 13 in that span, failed to get a decision either time.

The White Sox send rookie John Danks to the mound, who is also making his first start vs. Toronto. The 22-year old lefthander had his three-game winning streak snapped when he surrendered a career-high six runs, nine hits and four walks in just 3 1/3 innings in a 9-2 loss to the Minnesota Twins.

A win by Chicago would get the club back to the .500 mark.

Toronto beat Chicago, 9-3, on Saturday.
