Jun 3, 2007 - 1:09 PM tana takes hill in series finale for Angels* ================================================ Baltimore (27-29) at LA Angels (35-22) 3:35 pm EDTANAHEIM, California (Ticker) -- Ervin Santana looks to continue his stellar home record when the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim face the Baltimore Orioles on Sunday.
Santana (4-6, 5.48 ERA) has been impressive at home this season, posting a 4-1 mark with a 2.12 ERA through five outings. The Dominican righthander is 23-6 at Angel Stadium all-time.
In his last start, Santana yielded just one run and four hits in seven innings of a 4-1 victory over the Seattle Mariners here on Tuesday. He is 1-1 in four lifetime starts against Baltimore.
On Saturday, Joe Saunders tossed six effective innings and Chone Figgins and Mike Napoli each drove in two runs as the Angels coasted to a 7-4 triumph.
Anaheim has won four of its last five games and hopes to continue rolling along as Garret Anderson is set to come off the disabled list Sunday. He has been sidelined since April 27 with a torn right hip flexor tendon.
The Orioles will counter with Jeremy Guthrie (3-1, 3.02), who has been a boost since being put into the starting rotation on May 8. He is 2-0 with a 1.78 ERA in five outings, surrendering only seven earned runs during this stretch.
Guthrie yielded two runs and three hits in seven strong frames for a 6-2 victory at Kansas City on Tuesday. The righthander will be making his first career start against Anaheim.
