Mets rally again to beat Phillies

Ike Davis hit a three-run homer, Andres Torres homered, tripled and knocked in two runs, and David Wright and Scott Hairston collected two hits and an RBI apiece to help New York sweep Philadelphia.
Tim Byrdak (2-0) pitched a third of an inning in relief of Dillon Gee to earn the win.
"We came in and got [the Phillies] at the right time," Mets manager Terry Collins said. "If something happened and they made a mistake, we capitalized on it."
Kyle Kendrick (0-3) gave up four hits, all doubles, two walks and five runs over an inning-plus to suffer the setback.
"I had no command of anything," admitted Kendrick. "It wasn't good."
Freddy Galvis tripled, doubled and drove in three runs as the Phillies dropped their fifth in six tries.
Lee -- placed on the DL on April 21 after suffering a left oblique strain during a 10-inning outing against the Giants -- was strong in his six innings of work, allowing two runs on five hits. He was in line for the win before Philadelphia's bullpen imploded once more.
Trailing 4-2 in the seventh, Justin Turner hit a fly ball over the head of Shane Victorino, allowing Kirk Nieuwenhuis to round the bases from first on the double.
The Mets then loaded the bases on another double and a walk, tied the game when Kendrick plunked pinch-hitter Lucas Duda, and took their first lead of the game on Torres' RBI groundout.
Wright and Scott Hairston each doubled for a run to start the eighth, before Davis crushed Jose Contreras' 2-0 offering off the face of the right-field deck at Citizens Bank Park with Hairston and Justin Turner aboard, pushing New York's lead to 9-4.
Galvis had an RBI triple in the eighth, but Torres launched a home run to lead off the ninth.
Philadelphia took the lead three separate times earlier in the contest.
Lee opened the scoring himself in the bottom of the second by legging out an infield single. That brought home Brian Schneider, who had smacked a two-out single and moved to third on Galvis' base hit.
New York got to Lee for a game-tying run in the third. Daniel Murphy lined a two-out double into the gap in left-center, plating Gee, who reached on a failed-bunt fielder's choice.
Placido Polanco and John Mayberry hit back-to-back singles to begin the home fourth and each moved up a base on Schneider's groundout. Polanco then came home on Galvis' groundout.
Victorino attempted to make a sliding grab on a soft liner by Torres in the sixth but the ball dropped under his glove, and Torres had a leadoff triple. Wright blooped a single to center two batters later to tie the game for a second time.
The Phillies took their final lead of the night with two runs in the sixth. With Schneider running from first on a full-count pitch, Galvis smoked an opposite-field double off the wall in left. Schneider came home on the play, and pinch-hitter Laynce Nix following by roping a single to center, bringing in Galvis.
Hunter Pence tripled home Jimmy Rollins in the home ninth.
Game Notes
Nix left the game in the sixth with a strained left calf. He is day-to- day...To make room for Lee on the roster, Philadelphia optioned reliever Michael Schwimer to Triple-A Lehigh Valley earlier Wednesday...The Phillies also optioned pitcher Joe Savery to Lehigh Valley after the game...Pence committed his first error of the season...Victorino (0-for-5) saw a nine- game hitting streak snapped...Lee threw 84 pitches (57 for strikes).
