Indians hand McAllister ball vs. Mariners

Cleveland won the opener on Wednesday, 9-3, when Travis Hafner doubled, homered and knocked in three runs.
Jason Kipnis and Carlos Santana also added RBI doubles for the Indians, winners in three straight. Shin-Soo Choo had three hits and scored two runs.
Ubaldo Jimenez (4-3) earned the win after giving up three runs on five hits while striking out four over six frames.
Dustin Ackley went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer and Michael Saunders had two hits for the Mariners, who have dropped five of six on their current 10-game road trip.
Felix Hernandez (3-3) took the loss after being tagged for eight runs - six earned - on 10 hits in just 3 2/3 innings.
Cleveland is just 9-10 at home but nonetheless leads the American League Central Division by three games over the Detroit Tigers.
Seattle, meanwhile, is last in the four-team AL West.
A 24-year-old native of Chillicothe, Ill., McAllister was a third-round pick of the New York Yankees in 2006 and pitched in the minors before coming to Cleveland in a 2010 trade that sent Austin Kearns to New York.
He debuted with the Indians with four starts in 2011 and was 0-1 with a 6.11 earned run average, then returned to the majors on May 7 this season and earned his first victory with six innings of six-hit ball in an 8-6 defeat of the Chicago White Sox.
The start came in a doubleheader and he maintained a slot in the rotation when Josh Tomlin was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a sore wrist.
McAllister pitched seven innings in a second 2012 start five days later, giving up four runs on eight hits in a 4-1 loss to the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park.
He was shelled in an Aug. 23 start against Seattle last year, allowing 10 runs on nine hits in 3 1/3 innings of a 12-7 loss.
The Mariners will send 25-year-old Venezuelan Hector Noesi to the mound for the eighth time this season.
The right-hander was 1-2 in his initial three starts of 2012, picked up a no- decision at Detroit on April 26 and is 1-2 in three subsequent starts, including a 6-2 loss in New York on May 12 at Yankee Stadium.
Noesi reached the majors with 30 appearances for the Yankees last season before coming to Seattle in a four-player deal that sent Michael Pineda to New York on Jan. 23.
He's winless in four road starts this spring with a bloated 8.27 earned run average across 20 2/3 innings.
Noesi has never faced the Indians.
Cleveland won two of three matchups with Seattle from April 17-19.
