Diamondbacks go for second straight win over Devil Rays

PHOENIX (Ticker) -- The Arizona Diamondbacks will try to make it two straight wins over Tampa Bay Devil Rays when the teams square off Wednesday in the finale of a three-game interleague series.

Tony Clark hit a game-tying homer in the ninth inning Tuesday and Chris Young delivered a walk-off two-run blast in the 10th as Arizona rallied for a 10-8 triumph on Tuesday.

It was Young's second walk-off homer this campaign and Clark's 10th career pinch-hit blast as the Diamondbacks recorded their first all-time win in this interleague series.

Rookie Micah Owings (4-1, 3.84 ERA) takes the ball for Arizona on Wednesday. Owings is hoping to pick up his first victory after two straight no-decisions, giving up three runs and six hits in six innings of a 7-3 loss at Baltimore on Friday.

Tampa Bay will counter with James Shield (6-1, 3.30), who is coming off his first setback of the season. He allowed five runs and six hits in six frames for a 12-2 loss at the hands of Colorado.

The righthander was impressive in his lone outing against Arizona, yielding two runs and four hits with five strikeouts through seven innings on June 21.
