Corbin has gone 6-8 with a save and 4.77 earned run average in 21 outings this season, making 16 starts. He'll face the Rockies for the third time and for the second time in three starts.
The left-hander has lost four of his past five decisions while only lasting three innings in each of his past two starts. He did not factor into an 8-7 victory at Colorado on Sept. 22 after giving up five runs on nine hits, two of those homers.
Corbin then took a loss at the San Francisco Giants on Thursday, getting tagged for six runs on seven hits while yielding another two home runs.
"He gave up six runs on 19 pitches, with two home runs," said Arizona manager Kirk Gibson of Corbin's day on the mound. "You could see him trying to come in on guys and leave it out over the plate, and (the Giants) came out swinging the bats."
The 23-year-old has allowed 11 runs over nine innings against the Rockies, who counter with their own young hurler in 24-year Jhoulys Chacin.
Chacin will make his 14th and final start of 2012, bringing a 3-5 record and 4.78 ERA into the meeting. He picked up his third straight no-decision in a start versus Corbin and the D'backs on Sept. 22, allowing three runs over four innings.
He then logged 85 pitches and five innings of work to beat the Chicago Cubs on Thursday, winning for the first time since Sept. 1 while yielding three runs on seven hits and four walks.
The righty is 3-2 with a 3.11 ERA in nine career meetings with Arizona, all but one of those starts.
The Rockies will try to make it consecutive wins tonight after halting a three-game slide in Monday's 7-5 victory in 13 innings.
After Arizona's Paul Goldschmidt forced extra innings with a solo homer in the ninth, Chris Nelson, Charlie Blackmon and Jonathan Herrera each drove in a run for the Rockies in the 13th.
Matt McBride also scored on a wild pitch in the frame and Josh Roenicke yielded two runs in the bottom of the frame before closing out the victory. He walked in a run and yielded a sac fly to Chris Johnson with the bases loaded before striking out Gerardo Parra to end the game.
"To bring Chris Johnson (up) with a chance to win the game ... That's something you can't do if you want to be a championship-caliber club," Rockies manager Jim Tracy said.
Parra and Aaron Hill also homered in the loss for Arizona, its fourth in six games.
NL Rookie of the Year candidate Wade Miley did not get a decision for Arizona, striking out 10 over 7 2/3 innings while allowing three runs.
"Just locating the heater," Miley said. "I was in and out, up and down."
The Diamondbacks are 10-6 versus the Rockies this season.
