LeMahieu leads Rockies past Diamondbacks

Oct 4, 2012 - 3:02 AM Phoenix, AZ (Sports Network) - DJ LeMahieu had two hits, including a go-ahead RBI single, Jeff Francis pitched five effective innings, and the Colorado Rockies held off the Arizona Diamondbacks, 2-1, in the season finale for both teams at Chase Field.

Francis (6-7) allowed just one run on five hits and struck out three while walking one to earn the victory.

Matt Belisle retired the final batter in the ninth to strand the tying run at third and pick up his third save of the year for Colorado (64-98), which finished the season by taking two of three from Arizona.

Ian Kennedy (15-12) pitched well in defeat, giving up two unearned runs on six hits with eight strikeouts and no walks over seven strong frames.

Justin Upton had three hits and also stole a base, while A.J. Pollock hit a home run for the D'backs (81-81), who lost three of their last four to end the season.
