Marlins eye fourth straight win

MIAMI (Ticker) - The Florida Marlins will be after their fourth consecutive win when they host the Minnesota Twins in the middle game of a three-game interleague series on Saturday.

Josh Johnson (0-1, 9.82 ERA) will make his second start of the season for the Marlins. Johnson was diagnosed with an irritated ulnar nerve and was forced to began this season on the disabled list.

The righthander was understandably rusty in his season debut on Monday against the Chicago White Sox. Johnson allowed eight runs - four earned - and nine hits in 3 2/3 innings. The 23-year-old was 12-7 with a 3.10 ERA in 31 games - 24 starts - last season.

The Twins counter with Carlos Silva (4-8, 4.20), who has a 7.59 ERA over 10 2/3 innings in 11 career games - all in relief - at Dolphin Stadium.

Hanley Ramirez homered in the bottom of the eighth inning to propel the Marlins to a 5-4 victory in the series opener on Friday.

The Twins suffered a potentially bigger blow, when first baseman Justin Morneau was taken from the field on a stretcher complaining of chest pains after an eighth-inning collision with catcher Miguel Olivo. Morneau's status for Saturday is uncertain, though it appears unlikely he will play.

Returning to Dolphin Stadium for the first time since being traded from the Marlins in 2005, Luis Castillo went 0-for-3 with two walks.
