Marcum takes hill as Blue Jays look for fifth straight

MINNEAPOLIS (Ticker) -- Shaun Marcum takes the mound Tuesday when the Toronto Blue Jays aim for their longest winning streak of the season against the Minnesota Twins.

A converted reliever, Marcum (4-2, 3.38 ERA) has won two of his last three starts and will be aiming to lead the Blue Jays to their fifth straight win.

In his last start on Thursday, Marcum allowed two runs and three hits but did not factor into the decision of an 8-4 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Toronto won Monday's series opener, 8-5, thanks to a tie-breaking two-run homer from Matt Stairs.

Minnesota gives the ball to Scott Baker (2-2, 6.75), who has won two straight starts. He yielded two runs and seven hits over five innings against the New York Mets on Wednesday.
