Twins look for another win vs. Blue Jays

MINNEAPOLIS (Ticker) -- The Minnesota Twins aim for their seventh win in their last 10 games when they host the Toronto Blue Jays in the third game of a four-game set on Wednesday night.

On Tuesday, Jeff Cirillo delivered a walk-off single with two outs in the 12th inning to lift the Twins to a 2-1 victory over the Blue Jays.

It was the seventh career walk-off hit for Cirillo and first since September 21, 2005, denying Toronto's bid for a season-high five-game winning streak.

Minnesota will look to keep it going behind Boof Bonser (5-3, 4.45 ERA), who allowed four runs and six hits in six innings, while striking out two without walking a batter in a 5-4 loss at Florida last Friday.

After winning four straight last month, Bonser is 1-2 with a 6.75 ERA in four starts this month.

He will be opposed by Josh Towers (2-5, 5.75), who had one of his worst starts of the season his last time out. He allowed five runs and 11 hits in four innings, while walking and striking out two.

Towers has only one one start this season, with his other win coming in relief vs. Tampa Bay on June 5.
