Astros look to beat up on Phillies at home

HOUSTON (Ticker) -- Adam Eaton and the struggling Philadelphia Phillies hope to cool down the red-hot Houston Astros on Tuesday.

Eaton (7-5, 5.75 ERA) will try to stymie a Houston club that is averaging over seven runs in the first five games of its 11-game homestand.

Judging by his recent track record, Eaton could have a hard time against the Astros. The righthander has allowed 11 runs in his last 11 1/3 innings.

Philadelphia dropped Monday's series opener, 7-5, and has lost four of its last five games.

Meanwhile, Roy Oswalt (7-5, 3.42) get the ball for Houston, which has won eight of its last nine here. Oswalt has been especially good at Minute Maid Park, posting a 5-1 mark with a 2.11 ERA in 11 starts.

In his last start, Oswalt allowed one run and nine hits in seven innings against Colorado on Saturday.

Oswalt is winless in his last two starts and has just one victory in his last nine outings despite allowing more than three runs just three times in that span.
