Corbin puts unblemished mark on line in finale with Rockies

The 23-year-old, who was drafted by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim before being dealt to Arizona as part of a trade that sent Dan Haren to the Angels in July 2010, reached the majors last season and won six times in 22 outings.
He opened this season with consecutive defeats of Milwaukee and the Los Angeles Dodgers while giving up two runs on 11 hits in 12 innings. In two subsequent starts - both no-decisions - he gave up eight hits and three runs in 14 1/3 innings.
The Diamondbacks are 4-0 in games he's pitched.
Corbin, though, is 0-1 in three career meetings with the Rockies and is 4-3 in 10 career outings at Chase Field.
For Colorado, well-traveled righty Jon Garland makes his fifth start of the season.
The 33-year-old won 14 times with San Diego in 2010 and once in 2011 with the Los Angeles Dodgers before being granted free agency and signing with Seattle in February.
The Mariners released him on March 23 and the Rockies picked him up a day later.
He was 2-0 with a no-decision in his initial three starts, then was beaten, 10-2, by Atlanta on April 23 after giving up six runs on 10 hits in six innings.
Garland is 3-3 in his career against Arizona and 4-8 in 17 starts at Chase Field. He was 8-11 with the Diamondbacks across 27 starts in 2009.
On Saturday, Cody Ross drove in the game-winning run with a sacrifice fly in the 10th inning as the Diamondbacks edged the Rockies, 3-2.
With runners on the corners, Ross lifted a fly ball deep to the warning track in left-center field, scoring A.J. Pollock without a throw. Pollock had stolen second earlier in the inning.
"Just picked out the right pitch and the right count and just trust it," Pollock said.
Ross also had an RBI triple. Pollock went 3-for-5 with a homer and scored twice for the Diamondbacks, winners in four of their last five.
J.J. Putz (2-0) earned the win after tossing a perfect 10th. Starter Wade Miley threw 4 1/3 scoreless innings. He ran into trouble in the fifth after walking a pair and giving up a single to load the bases.
Wilin Rosario went 3-for-4 with a homer and Troy Tulowitzki had two hits and an RBI for the Rockies, losers in five of their last seven.
"It was a very strange game," Colorado manager Walt Weiss said. "When you miss that many opportunities, it's going to come back to haunt you."
Edgmer Escalona (1-1) was charged with the loss after giving up the winning run. Starter Jeff Francis gave up two runs on four hits over five innings.
The Rockies won two of three games between the teams earlier this month in Colorado, while Arizona won the 2012 series, 10-8.
