Carmona goes for 11th win for Indians

CLEVELAND (Ticker) - Fausto Carmona takes the mound for the Cleveland Indians in the finale of their weekend series against the Kansas City Royals on Saturday.

In his last outing, Carmona (10-4, 3.85 ERA) gave up three runs and eight hits in 5 1/3 innings of a 9-4 victory at Toronto on July 7.

The Dominican righthander was brilliant on June 7 against the Royals, who were limited to just one run in seven frames by Carmona. He is 1-0 in two career starts vs. Kansas City.

Kansas City's Jorge De La Rosa (7-9, 5.16) has been impressive on the hill recently also, collecting his third consecutive win against the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.

The 26-year-old lefthander struggled in his first appearance against Cleveland, getting hammered for season-high in runs (9) and walks (7) at home on May 24.

On Saturday, Emil Brown delivered a three-run homer and Mark Teahen collected three hits as the Royals held on for a 6-5 victory, snapping the Indians six-game home winning streak.
