Braves look to wrap up series win vs. Cards

ATLANTA (Ticker) -- Coming off a six-hit, six-RBI performance from relative unknown Willie Harris, the Atlanta Braves will target their third win against the St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday in the series finale of a four-game set.

Harris became the second player in Atlanta history with six hits in a game in Saturday's 14-6 win and the seventh player in Braves franchise history to reach the mark. Contributions like the one Harris provided Saturday have spurred Atlanta to 14 wins over their last 22 games.

With hopes of winning the four-game series from the defending World Series champions, the Braves will send out rookie Jo-Jo Reyes (0-1, 8.68 ERA), who will aiming for his first career win. His last chance came in Tuesday's 6-5 loss to the Cincinnati Reds, when he surrendered four runs over 6 1/3 innings.

With only two lifetime starts to his credit, this outing will be his first against the Cardinals.

St. Louis will respond with Brad Thompson (6-4, 5.06), who will try to end a four-game winless streak. Included in that stretch was Tuesday's 4-0 loss vs. the Florida Marlins in which he allowed three runs over six frames.

The righthander will be making his first start against the Braves, although he tossed two scoreless innings without receiving a decision against Atlanta in 2005.
