Jennings, Astros aim to rebound vs. Dodgers

HOUSTON (Ticker) - The Houston Astros will try to bounce back against the Los Angeles Dodgers in the second game of their three-game series on Tuesday.

Chad Billingsley recorded his first career complete game and former Astro Jeff Kent went 4-for-4 with two RBI in Monday's series opener as the Dodgers coasted to a 10-2 triumph.

Jason Jennings (1-6, 4.76 ERA) takes the ball for Houston with the hopes of finally getting over the hump. Jennings dropped his career-high fifth straight decision after giving up seven runs and eight hits in a 7-6 loss at Washington last Wednesday.

The 29-year-old righthander might have hard time breaking through against Los Angeles, as he has managed just a 6-8 showing in 19 career starts.

The Dodgers will send Mark Henderickson (4-5, 4.54), who looks to put behind the images of his last start. He was pounded for season highs seven runs and 11 hits in three innings of a 15-3 loss to Philadelphia on a week ago.

The towering 6-9 lefthander will being making his first lifetime start against Houston, which has posted a 3-7 record since the All-Star break.
