Rangers seek series sweep of Royals

ARLINGTON, Texas (Ticker) - The Texas Rangers will look to complete a three-game sweep of the Kansas City Royals in the finale on Thursday.

All-Star Michael Young drove in the go-ahead runs and Ian Kinsler homered to help Texas rally for a 4-3 victory over on Wednesday. It was the Rangers' fourth win in five outings.

John Rheinecker (1-1, 6.75 ERA) goes to the mound for Texas, which rallied for four runs in the sixth inning of Monday's win. Last time out, Rheinecker gave up three runs in six innings in a 3-0 setback to Tampa Bay on Saturday.

The 28-year-old lefthander will be making his first career start against the Royals.

Kansas City hands the ball to Leo Nunez (2-0, 1.80), who aims for a repeat performance vs. Texas, which was held scoreless through six frames by the righthander on July 29.

Nunez was brilliant in his last outing on Saturday, limiting the Toronto Blue Jays to just one run and two hits over six innings of a 4-1 triumph.
