Indians seek fourth straight win

CLEVELAND (Ticker) -- The Cleveland Indians will try to pad their lead in the American League Central Division when they host the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday.

In Monday's series opener, Victor Martinez hit a two-run home run and the Indians turned their first triple play in 15 years in an 8-3 win triumph. Cleveland holds a 2 1/2-game advantage over Detroit (71-60) in the division standings.

The Indians are riding a three-game winning streak and have won eight of their last 11 contests. Cleveland also has fared well against Minnesota this season, going 9-4 against its division rival.

Cleveland's Jake Westbrook (4-7, 4.40 ERA) was brilliant last time out, blanking Detroit through eight innings on Thursday.

The 29-year-old righthander has only surrendered one run and seven hits over his last two starts - a span of 15 combined innings. He is 4-7 in 15 career starts against the Twins.

Boof Bonser (6-10, 4.76) goes to the hill for Minnesota. He was also stellar in his last outing, yielding one run and three hits in seven frames of a 5-2 win at Baltimore on Thursday.
