Eaton looks to give Phillies' bullpen a rest

MIAMI (Ticker) - Adam Eaton looks to give the bullpen of the Philadelphia Phillies a much-needed rest in the finale of a three-game series with the Florida Marlins on Sunday.

Eaton (9-8, 6.23 ERA) makes his second start since coming off the disabled list, and will try and help a bullpen that was stretched thin after an disastrous outing by J.D. Durbin in Saturday's 12-6 loss.

Durbin failed to record an out as the Marlins sent 11 men to the plate in a seven-run first inning. Subsequently, four relievers were used, including three that had to throw at least two innings.

With the loss of a six-game winning streak, Philadelphia (72-63) fell three games behind the New York Mets (75-60) in the National League East.

Eaton, who spent a month on the DL because of inflammation in his right shoulder, was solid in his return on Tuesday. The righthander allowed two runs and five hits in 5 2/3 innings, but did not factor into a 4-2 win in 10 innings over New York.

Scott Olsen (9-12, 5.60) gets the ball for Florida, which has lost 14 of its last 17 games.

Olsen, who is winless in his last four starts, was rocked for a season-high 10 runs - six earned - as well as a season high-tying 11 hits in four innings of a 13-2 loss to the Atlanta Braves on Monday.
