MLB Note - San Francisco Giants Samardzija, Jeff
Jul 27, 2017 - 1:56 AM RHP Jeff Samardzija made two brilliant defensive plays in Wednesday's win over the Pittsburgh Pirates. First, he barehanded a chopper between the mound and third base and got a forceout at the plate. Later, he snared a hard one-hopper that could have given the Pirates the lead if it got through and into center field. Samardzija won despite two walks, his highest total in a game since April.No one has shouted yet.
