MLB Note - Pittsburgh Pirates Marte, Starling
Jul 27, 2017 - 1:56 AM LF Starling Marte allowed 1B Brandon Belt's fly ball to drop at his feet in the eighth inning Wednesday, enabling the tiebreaking run to score in the San Francisco Giants' 2-1 win over the Pirates. Marte generously was not charged with an error on the routine two-out fly ball that could have ended the inning. Marte was celebrating the fifth anniversary of his major-league debut, a game in which he hit the first pitch he saw from Houston Astros LHP Dallas Keuchel for a home run.No one has shouted yet.
