MLB Note - Chicago White Sox Garcia, Avisail
Jul 27, 2017 - 7:28 AM OF Avisail Garcia had seen his batting average drop to .157 over the past 18 games but had experienced discomfort in his right hand in recent days. On Wednesday, White Sox general manager Rick Hahn said Garcia would be placed on the disabled list and miss a couple of weeks after an MRI on Wednesday showed a ligament strain in his right thumb. Garcia said Wednesday he felt a difference is how his hand was feeling, which prompted him to seek attention. "Hopefully, it's 10 days," Garcia said Wednesday. "It's not too serious. Let's see what happens."No one has shouted yet.
