MLB Note - Minnesota Twins Santana, Ervin
Aug 14, 2017 - 6:23 AM RHP Ervin Santana got a case of the wobbles in the fourth and fifth innings Sunday, the last two frames he pitched in a 100-pitch outing at Detroit. Santana was following the two-strike slider formula for keeping the Tigers at bay until giving up four hits and a run in the fourth and three runs in the fifth, an inning in which an error, wild pitch and three passed balls cost Minnesota three runs. "I think that there was some frustration there," manager Paul Molitor said. "Some close pitches that he didn't get, the fact we made the misplay on the leadoff play. When you're giving up 90 feet, sometimes 180 feet with two baserunners when the ball's going to the backstop. He just had to battle."No one has shouted yet.
