MLB Note - Seattle Mariners Vieira, Thyago
Aug 15, 2017 - 1:38 AM RHP Thyago Vieira was called up from Triple-A Tacoma on Monday. Vieira, a hard-throwing reliever who has yet to pitch in the majors, takes the roster spot of RHP Christian Bergman, who was demoted to Tacoma.Vieira, 24, posted a 3.18 ERA and collected two saves in seven appearances at Tacoma. He also had 29 relief appearances at Double-A Arkansas, registering a 3.72 ERA and two saves while striking out 35 in 36 1/3 innings.
