MLB Note - Baltimore Orioles Britton, Zach
Aug 15, 2017 - 9:12 AM LHP Zach Britton pitched one-third of an inning in a 9-3 loss Sunday at Oakland, giving up a home run to Matt Olson. It was the first homer Britton allowed over 89 appearances dating to April 11, 2016. Manager Buck Showalter said he was just trying to get Britton some work. "He threw 22 pitches in seven days," Showalter said. "That's the challenge, then he'll pitch three days in a row. That's the life of a closer."No one has shouted yet.
