MLB Note - Colorado Rockies Arenado, Nolan
Aug 16, 2017 - 11:09 AM 3B Nolan Arenado hit his 27th homer in the first inning but made a throwing error on a routine grounder in the eighth, a two-out play that enabled the Braves to score the winning run in their 4-3 victory. Arenado was limited to a pinch-hitting appearance Monday after getting hit in the left wrist with a pitch Sunday at Miami and leaving the game in the fifth inning. Arenado fouled out in the eighth Monday, and after the inning ended, he left the dugout and headed to third base, only to have manager Bud Black call him back to the bench. Black said that moment gave him an indication Arenado would be ready to play Tuesday, which was confirmed in a brief conversation. No one has shouted yet.
