MLB Note - New York Mets Salas, Fernando

Aug 16, 2017 - 11:08 AM RHP Fernando Salas was released by the Mets Tuesday. He was designated for assignment on Friday when the team purchased the contract of 1B Dominic Smith from Triple-A Las Vegas. Salas was acquired by the Mets on Aug. 31. He posted a 2.08 ERA in 17 appearances in the final month of last season but was 1-2 with a 6.00 ERA in 48 appearances this season.
