MLB Note - Atlanta Braves Foltynewicz, Mike

Aug 17, 2017 - 8:56 AM RHP Mike Foltynewicz gave up a career-high tying eight runs and nine hits in 3 1/3 innings with three walks and five strikeouts. He was coming off a start Saturday at St. Louis where he allowed six runs and seven hits in 2 2/3 innings. Braves manager Brian Snitker said, "He is still a work in progress, and it's a neat challenge now, because he was going really good. Now it's not quite so good, and he is going to have to fight through it to get back to where he was prior. That's the cost of a learning experience. He will get it back, and he will be fine. This is not the finished product yet."
