MLB Note - New York Yankees Severino, Luis
Aug 17, 2017 - 8:56 AM RHP Luis Severino will look to bounce back from the worst start of his career Thursday night, when he takes the mound for the Yankees against the Mets in the Subway Series finale. Severino took the loss last Saturday, when he allowed 10 runs (eight earned) on eight hits and two walks while striking out four over 4 1/3 innings as the Yankees fell to the Red Sox 10-5. The runs and earned runs were each the most Severino has allowed in 56 big league appearances. He entered that outing having allowed just eight runs (six earned) in his previous six starts, a stretch in which he went 4-0 with a 1.36 ERA. Severino earned the win in his lone previous appearance against the Mets on Aug. 3, 2016, when he allowed just one unearned run and one hit over 4 1/3 innings of relief in the Yankees' 9-5 win.No one has shouted yet.
