MLB Note - New York Mets Flexen, Chris
Aug 18, 2017 - 8:03 AM RHP Chris Flexen will look to win his third straight start Friday night, when he takes the mound for the Mets in the opener of a three-game series against the Miami Marlins at Citi Field. Flexen earned the victory last Sunday, when he allowed two runs on six hits and four walks while striking out five over five innings as the Mets beat the Philadelphia Phillies, 6-2. It was the fourth big league start for Flexen, who set career highs for both walks and strikeouts. He has allowed five runs over 10 2/3 innings in the consecutive wins. Flexen has never faced the Marlins.No one has shouted yet.
