MLB Note - Tampa Bay Rays Pruitt, Austin

Aug 18, 2017 - 8:03 AM RHP Austin Pruitt will make his second career outing -- and first start -- Friday when he faces the Seattle Mariners in the opener of a three-game series at Tropicana Field. His only appearance against Seattle was a 1 1/3-inning relief outing June 4. In that appearance, he was taking over from RHP Erasmo Ramirez, who will be the opposing pitcher Friday. In his start Sunday against the Cleveland Indians, he allowed three runs on four hits and one walk. A sixth-inning homer by Cleveland DH Edwin Encarnacion ended a string of 17 1/3 innings without allowing a homer for Pruitt.
