Reds activate RF Schebler, place RHP Feldman on DL

Aug 19, 2017 - 12:39 AM The Cincinnati Reds activated right fielder Scott Schebler from the 10-day disabled list on Friday, the team announced.

At the same time, the Reds placed right-hander Scott Feldman (knee) on the DL.

Schebler, who has hit 23 homers, has been sidelined since July 30 with a shoulder injury. He is batting .228 with 45 RBIs.

Feldman is on the disabled list for the second time due to his knee woes. He returned on Aug. 12 after missing nearly four weeks and gave up nine runs in 7 2/3 innings in two outings.

Feldman was handed a 9-0 lead on Thursday and ended up with a no-decision as he served up five homers to the Chicago Cubs. The 34-year-old gave up six runs and seven hits over 3 2/3 innings.

Feldman is 7-7 with a 4.77 ERA in 21 starts this season.
