MLB Note - Oakland Athletics Chapman, Matt

Aug 19, 2017 - 8:32 AM 3B Matt Chapman doubled in the fifth inning for the lone extra-base hit off Astros LHP Dallas Keuchel. Chapman has 14 doubles this season, a dozen since the All-Star break, and leads American League rookies with 22 extra-base hits since the break. His 24 extra-base hits in his first 44 career games is a new franchise record, surpassing Mitchell Page who had 23 in 1977.
