MLB Note - Los Angeles Dodgers Bellinger, Cody
Aug 20, 2017 - 8:19 AM RF Cody Bellinger hurt his right ankle Saturday making a catch of a liner by 3B Nicholas Castellanos of Detroit. Bellinger went back to the wall and moved to his left in making the catch but came up limping on his last step. He remained in the game for the last out of the sixth but RF Yasiel Puig pinch-hit for him in the seventh. His injury was diagnosed as a right ankle sprain and he was listed as day-to-day. "As he was going back to get that play, the outfield lip, the warning track, just got him a little bit," manager Dave Roberts said. "I expect he'll be available in some capacity Sunday, he's not going to start." "I thought I was closer to the wall," Bellinger said. "I'm glad it was the ankle, not my knee. I came out as a precautionary measure."No one has shouted yet.
