MLB Note - New York Mets deGrom, Jacob

Aug 20, 2017 - 8:19 AM RHP Jacob deGrom will look to bounce back from a rare rough start Sunday afternoon, when he takes the mound for the Mets in the finale of a three-game series against the Miami Marlins at Citi Field. DeGrom took the loss Tuesday, when he gave up five runs on nine hits and two walks while striking out four over 7 1/3 innings as the Mets fell to the New York Yankees 5-4. The outing marked only the sixth time in 24 starts this season deGrom has surrendered more than three runs and only the second time he's done so in his last 12 starts, a stretch in which he is 9-3 with a 2.18 ERA. DeGrom is 4-3 with a 3.46 ERA in 11 starts against the Marlins, whom he's faced more than any other opponent.
