MLB Note - New York Yankees Chapman, Aroldis
Aug 20, 2017 - 8:20 AM LHP Aroldis Chapman was demoted from his role as the closer. "I will use him at any point, similar to what we're doing with our other relievers," manager Joe Girardi said before Saturday night's game. "He said he's here to help us win, whatever it takes. He knows that he needs to get back on track and he's scuffled a little bit, but he says he's willing to do anything. He just wants to win." Through an interpreter after Friday night's latest failure, this one in the eighth inning with his team behind, Chapman said, "I have been through difficult situations where things have not gone my way. This one definitely is the hardest one. But I'm pretty sure I will bounce back."No one has shouted yet.
