MLB Note - St. Louis Cardinals Wacha, Michael
Aug 20, 2017 - 8:20 AM RHP Michael Wacha remained in the game following a 1 hour, 56 minute rain delay during the top of the second inning after pitching a perfect first and got rocked. He was out of the game after four innings. He gave up five runs on seven hits, including two homers, with three strikeouts and two walks. Wacha stayed loose during the delay, throwing about every 15 minutes. "Michael's been through that before. He's tough," manager Mike Matheny said. "He just couldn't find a real good feel for his stuff after (the delay)." It was not only his second loss in a row, but also only his second career loss in the month of August. No one has shouted yet.
