MLB Note - Los Angeles Angels Nolasco, Ricky
Aug 22, 2017 - 6:55 AM RHP Ricky Nolasco will start Tuesday against the Rangers. It will be Nolasco's team-leading 26th start of the season, though he's been wildly inconsistent. Nolasco pitched his best game of the season on July 1 against Seattle, throwing a complete-game, three-hit shutout. In his very next start six days later on July 7, the Rangers rocked Nolasco for eight runs in just 1 2/3 innings. It's been that kind of season for the right-hander, filled with ups and downs. Mostly downs, considering his record of 6-12 and his 5.16 ERA. His 31 home runs allowed is the most by any pitcher in the majors. And the Rangers have been hard on him - he's 0-2 with a 17.55 ERA in two starts against them this year and 1-3 with an 8.68 ERA in four career starts. No one has shouted yet.
