MLB Note - Oakland Athletics Blackburn, Paul
Aug 24, 2017 - 8:03 AM RHP Paul Blackburn might be able to make his next start after after taking a line drive off the side of his right hand Tuesday, according to manager Bob Melvin. "After the off day (Thursday), we'll have a better idea," Melvin said. Blackburn was forced to leave the game in the fifth inning when he was struck by a liner off the bat of Trey Mancini. Before being forced to exit, Blackburn had thrown four scoreless innings and allowed three hits. He is 3-1 with a 3.22 ERA in 10 starts.No one has shouted yet.
